Your link clicks are happening right now. But your data about those clicks? Probably sitting in a CSV you exported yesterday, waiting for you to copy-paste it into a spreadsheet.

Webhooks fix that. They push link data to your marketing stack within 10 seconds of every click—automatically, no exports required.

Our Senior Product Manager, Karlissa Ablay, recently walked through how to set up webhooks and demonstrated three integrations you can copy. Here's what you need to know.

What webhooks do

Instead of pulling data out of Rebrandly manually, webhooks push it to wherever you need it. Every click triggers an automatic data transfer within 10 seconds, so you can react while prospects are still engaged.

You don't need a developer to set this up. Tools like Zapier let you build workflows without code. Webhooks deliver with 99.9% success rates and retry automatically if something fails.

How teams use webhooks

Here are some ways different teams put webhook data to work:

  • Marketing teams pause underperforming ads based on click-through rates, trigger follow-up emails when someone clicks, and track influencer campaigns in real time
  • Sales teams get alerts when prospects click pricing pages, with lead scores that update automatically based on engagement
  • E-commerce teams trigger cart recovery when someone clicks but doesn't convert, measure ROI in real time, and track which products generate the most interest
  • Media teams track content performance as it happens, connect social shares to conversions, and spot viral content early

Setup takes less than 5 minutes

Webhooks are available on Professional, Growth and Enterprise plans. Setting up your first webhook is straightforward:

  1. Navigate to Account Settings > Webhooks
  2. Click "New Webhook"
  3. Name your webhook and paste the URL from your third-party system (Zapier, HubSpot, Salesforce)
  4. Generate a secret key if you need extra security
  5. Select which workspace triggers the webhook
  6. Test it and review the event logs

Done. Your link data now flows automatically.

Three integrations you can set up in minutes

In the webinar, Karlissa demonstrated three popular integrations that take 15-20 minutes to configure from scratch. Once you've done it once, new webhooks take just a few minutes.

Zapier

Zapier connects Rebrandly to thousands of apps. If you're using tools that don't have native integrations with each other, Zapier bridges the gap. Set up automations that trigger based on link clicks using Zapier's visual interface—no code required. For example, you could automatically add anyone who clicks your demo link to a specific email nurture sequence, or send a Slack notification when a VIP prospect engages with your content. Once configured, everything runs in the background.

Hubspot

HubSpot updates contact records when prospects engage with your links. Most sales teams struggle to see which marketing content their prospects care about. This integration solves that by making every click a data point in your CRM without manual entry. Your sales team can see exactly which resources prospects viewed, when they clicked pricing pages, and how engaged they are overall. You can segment audiences by engagement level and trigger targeted follow-ups automatically based on the specific content people interact with.

Google Analytics 4

Google Analytics 4 closes the attribution loop. When you share links across email, social media, and other channels, you lose visibility into what happens after the click. This integration sends Rebrandly click events directly to GA4 using Zapier and the Measurement Protocol. You can finally track link performance alongside on-site behavior, attribute conversions accurately across all your channels, and build custom reports that show the complete customer journey from first click to conversion.

Start using webhooks

Webhooks are available on Professional plans and above. If you're already on one of these plans, go to Account Settings > Webhooks in your dashboard.
